I am a long time resident of Mississauga and my family have lived here for over 150 years. At some point in my youth I started getting into history and learning about anything I could get my hands on. That interest slowly turned into an interest about the city I lived in and I dedicated many late nights researching and reading about it’s history.

I am not a professional historian by any stretch, rather just an amateur with a passion. I decided to make this website about the history of Mississauga because my second passion is writing. I figured, if I could share the knowledge I learn through my research, even with just a humble small audience, it would be worth the effort.

I have included some information about advertising opportunities, but that is not the purpose of the site. I only included it because I thought if there were some local businesses who would be interested in subsidizing my research and in turn getting a bit of exposure for their company, it would be a win-win for all.
